About the job Contracts Manager - Groundworks Contracts Manager – Residential Groundworks Midlands (Worcestershire / Leicestershire / Gloucestershire) Excellent Salary + Package Permanent Position A leading and well-established residential groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple new-build housing developments across the Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the regions most respected groundworks contractors, with a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing relationships with major housebuilders. The company operates from offices in Worcestershire, Leicestershire and Gloucestershire and delivers high-volume residential groundworks packages including roads, sewers, drainage and plot works. This is a senior operational role suited to a proven Contracts Manager with a strong background working for a recognised residential groundworks contractor. The Role The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple residential groundworks projects, managing site teams and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget. You will take full operational responsibility for a portfolio of sites and play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with housebuilders and clients. Typical responsibilities will include: Managing multiple residential groundworks sites across the Midlands Overseeing Site Managers, Engineers and Supervisors Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to specification Monitoring programme performance and driving productivity Managing labour and plant resources across sites Working closely with commercial teams on cost control and variations Supporting project planning and mobilisation Attending client and progress meetings Maintaining strong relationships with national and regional housebuilders Ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved Resolving operational issues and supporting site teams Supporting the growth and development of operational staff Requirements (Essential) This role requires a strong residential groundworks background.
