A Structural CAD Technician is required by my Client in Leicester; a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy. As a company, they provide design consulting services to a multitude of Clients across the building design sector and can therefore offer an excellent array of structural projects to be involved in.
As a Structural Technician, you will provide the technical support required to produce the structural drawings and detailed drawings for projects. My Client uses both AutoCAD and Revit; however, existing Revit skills are not essential for success in the role if good CAD expertise is in place.
The candidate needs to possess the following skills:
- Be skilled in using AutoCAD and ideally Revit Structures, although this is not essential.
- Have experience within a construction-based office environment, ideally structural engineering, although this is not essential.
- Be willing and able to professionally communicate (verbally and written) with clients, other consultants, and contractors.
- Ideally have experience in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry, and foundations.
The salary for this role is fairly varied (Β£25,000 - Β£42,000); however, this is to accommodate all levels of expertise including those who have Revit experience. Therefore, candidates of all levels and abilities in CAD / Revit and structures are encouraged to apply if the above criteria is met.
