Excellent opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a very well established and busy Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy on the outskirts of Birmingham.
If you are a graduate of Civil or Structural Engineering and have a clear passion for buildings and the design of structures then this is the perfect role for you. As a Graduate Engineer you will be seeking a consultancy that can offer you a diversity in projects, a supportive and encouraging working environment in which you can personally and professionally progress.
Post‑graduate experience for this role is not essential however you will essentially be required to evidence a solid educational background and will possess a strong degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. This will be combined with a good knowledge and understanding of the basic principles and fundamentals of structural engineering and design.
All applicants must show a very clear passion and enthusiasm for the design of buildings and a career within structural engineering. The ability to complete basic structural calculations for beams, columns, slabs etc. would be required as well as an appreciation for designing in various construction materials.
Although you may not have post‑graduate experience you will be able to evidence a good grasp of the basic principles of building design, possess a clear understanding of design principals in common build materials (in particular steel and concrete), have a clear passion for buildings and structures and have a desire to focus your career through to Chartership.
You will be provided with an excellent start in your career as a Structural Engineer by being involved in a great range of works ranging from residential through to commercial, industrial and leisure facilities.
