Excellent opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician with RC / CADS RC skills and expertise to join a busy Structural Engineering Department in Birmingham.
As a Structural Technician you will have a background of working on projects of ideally a residential nature with excellent AutoCAD abilities and ideally be experienced in the use of CADS RC. You will understand projects of a buildings nature and be able to work on the production of drawings and details from foundation upwards.
The Role
- Preparation of engineering drawings and specifications
- Use of AutoCAD, CADS RC, Excel and other computerised design software
- Supervising and mentoring less experienced Technicians
- Liaison with clients and contractors
- Managing the delivery of projects
About You
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- IT literate
- A solid level of structural drawing and detailing experience in construction, with residential based project expertise and experience detailing RC.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors and other consultants
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
