A Structural Technician is required by my Client, a modern and dynamic Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Consultancy who is at a very exciting stage of growth and can offer some very interesting and varied schemes of work to be involved in.
As a Structural Technician you will possess a good amount of experience of having worked ideally within a consultancy led environment and will have the experience required to be able to work closely with structural engineers to provide technical support and assistance on a variety of projects. This role is ideal for a Structural Technician confident in their skills and expertise and seeking a combined CAD / Revit based role.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Prepare structural drawings and details using AutoCAD
- Utilise Revit to produce required structural drawings and details as required on projects
- Utilise Revit to model structural projects / integrate families / BIM
- Have knowledge and experience in common build materials to be able to work on a range of schemes: logistics, healthcare, specialist healthcare facilities, commercial etc.
It’s important to have excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work. Given this is a close-knit working team it is essential you have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
