Job Description
Job Title: Senior Mechanical Estimator\\nLocation: Cambridge\\nSalary: £65,000 Per Annum + Package\\n\\nThe Role:\\n\\n- Reporting to the Estimating Manager\\n- Preparing enquiries for equipment and specialist subcontract packages including selection of supply chain members.\\n- Attending and contributing at pre, mid and post tender meetings.\\n- Reviewing tender quotes received from suppliers and specialist subcontractors for compliancy and best value.\\n- Liaising with Estimating Manager and specialist subcontractors to ensure fully inclusive bid.\\n- Attending site surveys.\\n- Reviewing documentation for presentation.\\n- Following up tenders and assist with securing projects.\\n- Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with clients and supply chain.\\n- Attending handover meetings with the contracts team once projects are secured.\\n\\nThe Company:\\n\\n- A long-established M&E contractor with a strong reputation in the building services industry.\\n- Over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) installations.\\n- Annual turnover of £55m\\n- Works in the commercial, healthcare and education sectors.\\n\\nThe Ideal Candidate:\\n\\n- Will have 5+ years’ experience working as a Mechanical Estimator.\\n- Will have previous experience working with commercial projects.\\n- Will have experience with a Mechanical Sub contractor\\n- Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.\\n- Will have excellent communication skills.\\n- Will be able to commute to Cambridge\\n\\nWhat You’ll Get:\\n\\n- £65,000 Per Annum\\n- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance\\n- Private healthcare\\n- Annual bonus\\n- Career progression opportunities\\n\\nProcess:\\n\\n- Apply for the job.\\n- We will then call you to discuss the role.\\n- If we think you would be a good fit and you’re happy, we will submit you to be considered for the position.\\n- If the client likes the sound of you, they will invite you for an interview.\\n- If successful in the interview process, you will be offered the job
