The Role:
- Manage the full tender process from initial enquiry through to submission and post-tender negotiation
- Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and employer requirements
- Produce accurate electrical cost plans, estimates, and detailed tender submissions
- Carry out detailed take-offs and measurements from drawings and specifications
- Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative cost-saving solutions
- Prepare tender adjudication documents and present cost proposals to senior management
- Assess project risks, opportunities, and commercial viability
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams throughout the tender process
- Support project handovers to the delivery team following successful project award
- Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
- Play a key role in developing and improving the pre-construction function
