Job Title: MEP Site Manager (Mechanically Biased)\\n\\nLocation: North London\\n\\nJob Description:\\nAn experienced MEP Site Manager with a strong mechanical background (fully qualified or time-served in a mechanical discipline) is required to join a well-established construction and M&E contractor based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The company has been operating for over 30 years and has a turnover of £35M, serving clients across the transport, healthcare, and education sectors.\\n\\nThe role will be based on a prestigious project in North London, scheduled to run from April 2025 to approximately October 2026. The project involves the replacement of all existing roof plant, including AHUs, chillers, and associated services such as CHW, LTHW, BMS, fire alarms, small power, submain and switch-panel upgrades, and fume cupboards.

Work will take place on the roof, in service risers, corridors, and plant areas while maintaining live services in an operational environment.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Work collaboratively within the delivery team and alongside a construction site manager.\\n\\n * Act as the primary site contact for the client, ensuring effective communication.\\n\\n * Manage subcontractors and direct staff efficiently.\\n\\n * Utilize Procore for project documentation, including:\\n\\n * Health and safety reporting.\\n\\n * Raising RFIs.\\n\\n * Managing subcontractor works, including snagging.\\n\\n * Providing programme reports and updates.\\n\\n * Inputting into the project Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP).\\n\\n * Review and provide feedback on subcontractor RAMs.\\n\\n * Interpret and execute MEP design drawings alongside construction works.\\n\\n * Plan and oversee MEP shutdowns, diversions, and service reinstatements.\\n\\nRemuneration:\\n\\n * Self-employed contract.\\n\\n * Competitive rates, negotiable based on experience and status.\\n\\n * Benefits to be confirmed based on individual status.\\n\\nRequired Experience & Qualifications:\\n\\n * Time-served mechanical background within an MEP environment or HND qualification.\\n\\n * Minimum of 7 years’ experience in MEP site management.\\n\\n * DBS clearance.\\n\\n * SMSTS certification.\\n\\n * First Aid qualification.\\n\\nPreferred/Advantageous Experience:\\n\\n * Familiarity with project management software (Procore or similar).\\n\\n * Experience with BMS systems.\\n\\n * Knowledge of electrical and fire alarm systems.\\n\\n * Experience in coordinating MEP services within construction projects.\\n\\n * Understanding of construction elements.\\n\\nHow to Apply:\\n\\n * Apply for the job.\\n\\n * We will then call you to discuss the role.\\n\\n * If we think you would be a good fit and you’re happy, we will submit you to be considered for the role.\\n\\n * If the client likes the sound of you, they will invite you for an interview.\\n\\n * If successful in the interview process, you will be offered the job
