The Role:
- As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion.
- Carry out heat load calculations using CIBSE-approved software (full training provided).
- Produce mechanical drawings using CAD software for pre-contract and live project requirements.
- Assist with HVAC design and equipment selection for tender submissions and design & build projects.
- Prepare and issue Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals following project completion.
- Support the preparation of Licence to Alter (LTA) documentation.
- Conduct site surveys to inform design development and drawing accuracy.
- Assist in the production of RAMS and ensure health & safety compliance prior to project start.
- Attend project meetings (Teams, Zoom, Skype) to discuss design progress and coordination.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and delivery.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support to management where required.

- Expertise includes LTA submittals, CAT A & CAT B fit-outs, CIBSE heat load calculations, BMS integration, and full mechanical/public health drawings.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience using CAD software for mechanical design (AutoCAD or similar).
- Understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services design.
- Knowledge of CIBSE guidelines and UK building regulations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a growing business.
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial.
