The Role:
- Design electrical systems for CAT A & CAT B office fit-out projects
- Produce detailed design drawings including lighting, small power, containment, distribution, and specialist systems
- Support Preconstruction, Contracts, and Project Managers throughout the design process (RIBA Stage 3–4)
- Develop and coordinate Stage 4 technical designs through to construction issue
- Carry out load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection in line with regulations
- Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and reports
- Manage Contractor Design Portion (CDP) packages and coordinate specialist subcontractor designs
- Attend design and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Support value engineering exercises to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality
- Ensure all designs comply with BS 7671 and relevant British Standards

The Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Electrical Design Engineer (building services / contracting background)
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical design and systems
- Experience working on projects up to £3m–£5m
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit desirable)
- Strong knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
- Experience working within a D&B environment and coordinating with delivery teams
