Mechanical Project Manager Location: North West England (Merseyside + site travel) Salary: Β£60,000 β Β£65,000 + Vehicle Allowance Type: Permanent / Full-Time Start: Immediate The Role You will be responsible for delivering mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard. Working for a well-established contractor with a strong reputation in the electrical sector, you will play a key role in developing and growing the mechanical side of the business. Projects typically range from Β£50k to Β£5M and span residential (including care developments), commercial and mixed-use schemes across the North West, working with main contractors and developers. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can hit the ground running and take ownership of projects from day one. Key Responsibilities β’ Manage mechanical projects from start to completion β’ Procure materials, labour and subcontractors β’ Maintain full project financial control and profitability β’ Manage subcontractor performance and programme β’ Coordinate with internal teams for full M&E delivery β’ Attend and lead client and site progress meetings β’ Monitor site progress, quality and installation standards β’ Provide technical support to site teams and clients β’ Produce valuations, applications and manage variations β’ Negotiate and agree final accounts β’ Ensure H&S compliance and produce RAMS β’ Identify value engineering opportunities β’ Build and maintain client relationships The Ideal Candidate β’ Mechanical Project Manager / Contracts Manager background β’ Strong HVAC, heating and plant room knowledge β’ Experience delivering building services projects β’ M&E contractor experience preferred β’ Strong commercial awareness β’ NVQ / HNC / HND in Building Services or similar β’ CSCS Managers Card / SMSTS β’ Able to start immediately or at short notice Package β’ Β£60,000 β Β£65,000 salary β’ Vehicle allowance β’ Pension + holidays Process β’ CV submission β shortlist β interview β immediate offer/start
