The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing mechanical division delivering projects across Yorkshire. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. Depending on project requirements, you may be responsible for managing one large project or overseeing multiple smaller projects simultaneously. This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a broad mechanical background and proven experience delivering projects for Tier 1 Main Contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Full project management of mechanical building services installations from contract award through to completion and handover.
- Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement schedules and resource allocation.
- Coordinate site teams, supervisors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Manage client and main contractor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend project meetings, progress reviews and coordination meetings.
- Monitor commercial performance and manage project variations.
- Oversee commissioning, snagging and final handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
- Provide regular progress reporting to senior management.

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services sector.
- Strong all-round mechanical knowledge including HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, pipework, plant rooms and heating systems.
- Experience delivering projects for Tier 1 Main Contractors.
- Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to handover.
- Able to manage either a large standalone project or multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong commercial awareness, project delivery experience and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS preferred.
- Relevant Mechanical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
