Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer Location: Ipswich Salary: £75,000 + Car Allowance + 11.5% Pension
The Role
- Overseeing the Mechanical package for the project from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
- Must have operations experience
- Managing Mechanical sub-contractors, including specialist contractors
- Overseeing Mechanical Supervisors and Site Managers
- Liaising closely with Electrical Engineers and Project Managers to coordinate M&E delivery
- Managing interfaces with existing client facilities
- Procurement, including managing material levels and liaising with suppliers
- Production of RAMS and all associated construction and procurement documentation
- Monitoring programme, quality, health & safety, and project budgets
- Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager

The Ideal Candidate
- Will have 5+ years' experience within the Mechanical Building Services industry
- Will have previous experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer, Mechanical Construction Manager, or Mechanical Site Manager
- Will have experience delivering commercial, defence, healthcare, or large-scale industrial projects
- Will hold relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
- Will hold a CSCS card and SSSTS/SMSTS
- Will be confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple workstreams
- Will work well under pressure and consistently meet project deadlines
- Will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Will be able to commute to Ipswich
