Reporting to: Operations Director
Purpose of the Job
The Electrical Project Manager will take full ownership and accountability for the delivery, financial performance, quality, and programme of electrical projects from estimation handover through to completion and client training. Projects typically range from £100k to £5m and must be delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage electrical project delivery from start to finish, assuming responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the project
- Liaise effectively with main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Plan and manage the utilisation of labour, plant, and materials required for electrical installations
- Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders
- Coordinate the efforts of project teams and third-party contractors to ensure successful delivery
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones; monitor progress and address issues proactively
- Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans
- Prepare and submit budget proposals; recommend changes and obtain client approval where required
- Build and maintain strong business relationships essential to project success
- Prepare and update weekly cost-control sheets
- Prepare and issue weekly/fortnightly progress reports

- Strong IT skills, including experience with project management and electrical design/scheduling software

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical project management, including fast-track fit-out environments
- Proven ability to bring electrical projects to successful completion
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in project management advantageous
- Equivalent qualifications or significant relevant industry experience will also be considered
