As the Customer Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing strategy through the development, implementation & review of best in class activation, across the Wholesale & Convenience channel. On a day-to-day basis, you will act as the marketing conduit between our commercial teams and our customers, providing information, materials and support on key brands. You will be integral within the wider Marketing function, being seen as ‘the voice’ of Wholesale & Convenience, ensuring that you have suitable, tailored plans to execute across relevant media channels & customers. This will include wholesale, Cash & Carry, symbol & independent retailers, as well as the end consumer.

In this role, there will be the opportunity to become a strong influencer and to drive key stakeholder management across the organisation for your plans. You will set high expectations for yourself and ensure a continuous improvement mindset, which benefits not only your channel, but the wider Customer Marketing/Marketing function.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide day-to-day marketing support for your channel (internal & external).
  • Owning the planning process between regional brand, category development and sales, for the sector.
  • Bring our brand plans to life through the development and implementation of customer tailored activations.
  • Use shopper insights to effectively plan and evaluate shopper marketing activities – for both professional shoppers & end consumers.
  • Liaise with relevant marketing agencies to create artwork briefs and develop point-of-sale materials, as well as developing customer/channel specific activations.
  • Understand the business and the drivers and levers of performance; take the lead in course correction when necessary.
  • Updating key documents that support the planning, execution and review of Trade Marketing activity.
  • Support the creation of sell-in presentations & other materials required for customer meetings.
  • Managing and optimising A&P investment across the sector to drive results, with accountability for delivering YOY increases in A&P effectiveness through a rigorous review process.
  • Develop solutions for & attend key Trade Events for the channel & customers.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: 3+ years’ business experience. In depth understanding, knowledge and practical experience in Customer Marketing.
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management.
  • The ability to work effectively and maintain resilience in a fast-paced challenging environment.
  • Able to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Excellent presenting skills & proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Analytical ability and decision making.

Qualifications: WSET Level 2 or higher; preferred but not required.
