Viltra is a specialist in the design, manufacture and supply of engineered solutions for the reliable and effective treatment of aqueous effluent streams from industrial, commercial and residential premises. With a growing portfolio of new products and new technology, and an increasing number of exciting new projects in Ireland and UK with clients who share our passion for the protection of the environment, this opportunity has arisen to join our customer facing team to work with prospective clients to identify their needs and define effective solutions using Viltra technology.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an engineering background and a passion for the minimisation of impacts to the environment, who wishes to build and foster partner relationships with prospective clients across a diverse range of application sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will identify and develop contacts with prospective clients, working with them to understand their specific application needs for effluent remediation, and liaise with the Viltra technical team to develop viable solutions.
- Proactively develop and foster relationships with business owners, plant operators and consulting engineers, to identify needs and opportunities for Viltra products and systems.
- Understand customer requirements and work with the Viltra engineering team to devise complete solutions.
- Attend customer sites and undertake assessments or sampling to fully understand individual application needs.
- Present and promote Viltra solutions to clients.
- Present technical training to clients to promote their understanding of options and the relative performance of alternative remediation solutions.
- Develop leads, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and close deals.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of industry developments through on-going technical training, and participation in related trade shows and conferences.
REQUIREMENTS
- A formal qualification in engineering or environmental technology.
- At least 3 years experience in a direct customer facing role involving the design or implementation of engineering solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- A knowledge of current environmental legislation in UK and Ireland relevant to effluent treatment.
- A passion for professional curiosity to identify the fundamental requirements of an effluent treatment application.
- Good listening and understanding skills to fully engage with customers and colleagues.
- An ethical approach to business and interaction with colleagues in keeping with Viltra values.
- A personable and approachable demeanour.
- A positive enthusiastic approach to finding a solution no matter how challenging the problem.
- Be legally entitled to work in, and travel throughout, UK and EU.
- This role requires applicants to hold a full clean UK or European driving licence, and be flexible to travel throughout the UK and Ireland if required, including overnight stay.
