The practice is looking for a committed GP to join for five to six sessions, working with a diverse and often underserved patient population including care homes and learning disability services. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred GP care to a diverse and often deprived population within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Duties include:

• Managing routine and on-call clinics
• Providing care to patients in care homes and learning disability settings
• Undertaking ward rounds
• Contributing to the practice's excellent QOF performance
• Supporting the training of GP registrars and medical students
• Participating in in-house teaching
• Developing specialist clinical interests within an innovative and forward-thinking practice environment

Job Responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality, patient-centred GP care through routine and urgent appointments
• Managing a mixture of face-to-face, telephone, and digital consultations
• Participating in shared on-call duties and supporting safe clinical decision-making
• Providing care to patients within care homes and learning disability settings, including regular ward rounds
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver effective and coordinated care
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to achieving high QOF and clinical governance standards
• Supporting and contributing to the training of GP registrars and medical students
• Attending and participating in regular clinical meetings, teaching sessions, and practice development activities
• Contributing to service improvement, innovation, and the continued development of the practice
• Developing and pursuing specialist clinical interests where appropriate and supported by the practice

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified General Practitioner with Certificate of Completion of Training or equivalent
• Registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise
• On the NHS Performers List
• Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (where applicable)
• Eligible to work in the UK (including work permit where required)
• Evidence of ongoing continued professional development (CPD)

Additional Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence (if home visits are required)

Experience:

• Experience of working in general practice
