Project / Workshop administrator Estimates β discussing with clients for what is required & providing an estimate. Sourcing prices etc Providing estimates for projects. Some estimates need revising many times. Managing a project β contacting customers, making sure customer know what has been estimated for. Arranging a check measure & fitting date. Put together a project file. Order fabric samples, ordering any hardware, fabrics etc. Discuss with the fitter anything that must be made by them & add to their items to be made list. Complete making worksheets, get them checked, copy for file, add to items to be made list & submit to workroom. Make sure they all arrive on time. Make sure everything is made on time. Check measurements of curtains & blinds with makers before being fitted. Make sure Diary appointment is correct before fitting date. Accounts β check banking spreadsheet daily for any new transactions Deposit β update Swish, raise deposit invoice, add to active book. (This now becomes a project to manage) Final invoice β once fitting Is complete, check all ok with customer. Raise final invoice, update Swish & active book, send to customer. Final payment β once payment received, update swish & active book. Operations / Diary β check with PMs that their diary entries are all ok Make sure all entries have contact numbers & Project Numbers Copy diary entries on to a word document & save. Logging in deliveries Sorting and checking deliveries Helping to check measurement Pack and label Organise deliverys to site/fitters Help with keeping workroom tidy Ordering samples + learning SWISH (our estimating program) & helping PMβs
