We are looking for an experienced and motivated CNC Turner / Programmer to join our expanding precision engineering division in Rotherham. You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating Haas / Hankook lathes and supporting both prototype and production machining for our engineered valve and pipeline product range. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a modern, well-equipped CNC facility using the latest Fusion 360 CAM software and Haas / Hankook multi‑axis equipment.
The Duties of a CNC Turner Programmer:
- Programming, setting, and operating Haas CNC machines (DS‑30Y, ST‑40, VTL1400).
- Using Fanuc controls.
- Producing finished components to quality requirements.
- Working to tight limits in a high‑precision environment.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, including workspace housekeeping.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience programming and setting CNC lathes (multi‑axis).
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM software.
- Strong knowledge of Haas/Fanuc G‑ and M‑code programming.
- Skilled in machining stainless steel, duplex, aluminium, and engineering plastics.
- Confidence in using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, CMM).
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, safety‑first approach.
Hours: Day shift: Mon – Thurs: 8am – 5pm, Fri: 8am – 1pm
