Your Shift at a Glance

When the rest of the world goes to sleep, you are the one running the show, ensuring our guests feel just as looked after at 3 AM as they do at 3 PM. You will be the ultimate twilight host, seamlessly blending security rounds, late night bar service, and warm welcomes for our weary midnight arrivals.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating great experiences for our guests and each other. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers. Previous experience is great, but your attitude and energy matter much more to us. If you are friendly, positive, love working with people, and enjoy being part of a busy team, we will give you all the support, training, and opportunities you need. Because it really does take a Village.

Your Shift: What You’ll Actually Be Doing

As our Night Porter, you are the engine of the shift. We trust you to handle:

  • The Welcome: Checking in late arrivals and seeing off the early birds with a warm, energetic approach, ensuring they feel at home and taking every opportunity to upsell our fantastic facilities.
  • The Protector: Keeping our guests and the building completely secure with thorough overnight safety checks, while confidently managing night audits, cash handling, and the hotel switchboard.
  • The All-Rounder: Being the ultimate hands-on team player by pouring a late night pint in the Pub, preparing room service, cleaning public areas, and setting up meeting rooms so the day team can hit the ground running.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to handle your area and make decisions on the fly. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide funded qualifications and internal moves. We constantly Innovate & Progress so we can Inspire Excellence and smash our targets together.
