At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating great experiences for our guests and each other. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.
Previous experience is great, but your attitude and energy matter much more to us. If you are friendly, positive, love working with people, and enjoy being part of a busy team, we will give you all the support, training, and opportunities you need.
We live our culture through four simple commitments:
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose. We deliver our Front of House KPIs consistently, which impacts the overall EBITDA for the hotel.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best, look out for each other, and work effectively with all other departments within the hotel.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other. We create an engaged team through development opportunities, reward, recognition, and a strong culture of teamwork and support.
As our Night Manager, you are leading the hotel through the night. We trust you to handle:
- The Ultimate Welcome: Delivering a warm, vibrant welcome to all late arrivals and assisting guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Commercial Hustle: Reviewing wage costs, driving the use of Opera to note special requirements, balancing accounts daily, and taking every opportunity to upsell rooms.
- Problem Solving: Dealing efficiently with reservations and handling any complaints politely and positively to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Inspirational Leadership: Recruiting great people, tracking daily reports, and benchmarking individual team members' performance against high-performance behaviours.
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage daily and weekly checks, investigate any discrepancies, and implement procedures to reduce mistakes.
We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide the support to help you assist in the production of budgets by liaising with your Financial Controller. We constantly Innovate & Progress so we can Inspire Excellence and smash our targeted Guest Rate results together.
