The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

While the rest of the world sleeps, you are the absolute face of the hotel. We are looking for a Night Reception Host who can bring a warm, vibrant welcome to late arrivals and a friendly Village farewell to the early risers. Forget a quiet, hidden back-office shift. You will own the lobby, ensuring a constant presence in the reception area to look after our guests, handle telephone enquiries, and keep the front of house looking pristine.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating great experiences for our guests and each other. That is why we back our teams to take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.

Working nights takes a special kind of energy. If you are a naturally bubbly, approachable person who thrives on autonomy, loves helping people, and doesn’t lose their spark at 3 AM, we will give you the platform to shine. Because it really does take a Village.

How the Village Thrives

  • We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference. You will confidently direct late-night guests to our self-check-in terminals, provide expert assistance, and accurately complete the necessary administrative elements for the night audit and reception department.
  • We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. You will handle any late-night complaints politely and positively, making every effort to resolve them there and then before escalating to your manager.
  • We Care: We care about our impact on guests and the business. You will take every opportunity to talk up and upsell our fantastic F&B facilities, gym memberships, and meetings and events for the days ahead.

Your Shift: What You’ll Actually Be Doing

  • The Warmest Welcome & Farewell: Greeting night owls and early corporate travellers with an exceptional, positive attitude that leaves a lasting impression.
  • Lobby Pride: Assisting with keeping all front of house areas completely clean, tidy, and welcoming, including clearing away any late-night crockery or glassware.
  • Hotel Expertise: Demonstrating full knowledge of our hotel’s facilities and being able to confidently chat about other hotels across the group.
  • Night Operations & Safety: Attending briefings, operating hotel cash handling with absolute accuracy, and staying strictly aware of all health, safety, security, and emergency procedures overnight.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage, especially on nights. We believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage the desk, assist guests in a courteous and professional manner, and handle the night routine smoothly.

We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide the training to develop your hospitality career. We constantly Innovate & Progress so we can Inspire Excellence, relying on your highly effective communication skills to keep our high standards alive 24/7.

The Perks: What’s In It For You?

  • Gym Membership: 2 x complimentary gym memberships at your home hotel.
  • Hotel Stays: Hotel rooms from £20 across 34 hotels.
  • Food & Drink: 50% off food and drink for you and up to 5 guests, plus 75% off Sunday dinner for up to 6 people.
  • Friends & Family: 2 friends or family members get 25% off F&B, even when you are not there.
  • Retail & Lifestyle: Hundreds of brand discounts via the Village app.
  • Support: 24/7 Mental Health support via our Employee Assistance Programme.

Think You’ve Got the Right Energy?

We are not looking for corporate robots, we are looking for a 'larger than life' personality who loves the night shift. If you have exceptional interpersonal skills, a passion for guest experience, and the ability to adapt to any situation, we want to hear from you.

Bring your personality, your drive, and your night-owl ambition. Hit apply, tell us why you love the hotel environment, and let's see if we are a match.
