The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance
As our Fitness Manager, you are the commercial and operational boss of the gym floor. You will manage our Fitness Coaches and the Group Fitness Manager to ensure the club runs like a well-oiled machine. From driving Personal Training revenue to ensuring our studio classes are absolutely packed, you are the leader who turns a room full of equipment into a vibrant, high energy community.
Why Village?
At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers. Previous leisure management experience is great, but your attitude, commercial drive, and natural leadership matter much more to us. If you have a passion for helping others smash their goals and the organisational skills to manage a fast-paced operation, we will give you all the support you need. Because it really does take a Village.
How the Village Thrives
- We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
- We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
- We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.
Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing
We do not just need someone to walk around in a branded t-shirt. We need a commercial leader who treats the business like their own. We trust you to handle:
- The Commercial Hustle: Driving the numbers. You will take ownership of your budgets, smashing PT revenue targets and maximising Group Exercise spend while maintaining flawless internal audit scores.
- The Floor & The Studio: Setting the standard. You will ensure the gym floor is immaculate and safe, while working with your Group Fitness Manager to deliver a vibrant timetable of Les Mills, Zumba, and Hiit Company classes.
- The People Leadership: Building the talent. You will manage the rotas, recruit brilliant coaches, and upskill your team using cutting edge technology like Myzone and Mywellness, giving them the tools to build solid careers in the industry.
- The Member Experience: Protecting the brand. You will relentlessly role model our standards, dealing with complaints politely and proactively on the spot, ensuring every single member gets a world class experience.
How We Succeed Together
We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage your team, solve practical problems, and smash your targets. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide excellent training and development to help you step up in your leisure management career.
Selling Our Benefits
- Health & Wellbeing: Complimentary full leisure club membership for you and a friend (worth £1,500 annually), a monthly well-being programme, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
