The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

As our Leisure Operations Manager for Brand Standards and Member Experience, you are the heartbeat of the club's community. While others focus on the gym floor or the pool, you own the front of house. You will drive member engagement, host vibrant events, push our retail sales, and ensure every single person walking through the doors gets a flawless Village welcome.

Why Village? At Village, we do hospitality a little differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating lively spaces for our guests to work, eat, relax, and play. That is why we back our teams to be themselves, take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers. Previous leisure or retail management experience is great, but your attitude, emotional intelligence, and natural warmth matter much more to us. If you have a passion for building a community and the organisational skills to manage a fast paced front desk, we will give you all the support you need. Because it really does take a Village.

How the Village Thrives

  • We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work every day, with purpose.
  • We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. We try our best and look out for each other.
  • We Care: We care about our impact on guests, the community, and each other.

Your Shift: What You Will Actually Be Doing

We do not just need a friendly face. We need a commercial leader who knows how to build loyalty. We trust you to handle:

  • The Front of House: Owning the welcome. You will lead, coach, and motivate the Front of House team to ensure the first and last impression of the club is consistently electric.
  • The Member Community: Driving the vibe. You will take total ownership of member events and engagement, turning a standard gym membership into a genuine community, while handling member enquiries and resolving issues on the spot.
  • The Retail Hustle: Maximising the spend. You will take charge of our Leisure Retail offering, ensuring the displays are perfect, the stock is moving, and the team is confident in upselling.
  • The Brand Standards: Protecting the reputation. You will relentlessly audit and enforce our operational brand standards across the club so the environment always feels premium.

How We Succeed Together

We do not micromanage. It takes a village, so we believe in Ownership & Integrity, giving you the autonomy to manage your team, solve practical problems, and own the member journey. We Empower & Elevate our people. If you want Room to Grow, we provide excellent training and development to help you step up in your leisure management career.

Selling Our Benefits

  • Health & Wellbeing: Complimentary full leisure club membership for you and a friend (worth £1,500 annually), a monthly well-being programme, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Hotel Stays: Discounted stays from £35 based on two sharing, plus a Holiday Purchase scheme.
  • Food & Drink: 50% discount on Food and Drink purchased on or off shift at any Village Hotel.
  • Financial & Extras: Financial wellbeing support via Wagestream, High Street discounts, an Electric car salary sacrifice scheme, and your birthday off guaranteed.

We are not looking for perfect CVs, we are looking for infectious enthusiasm and brilliant customer service skills. If you understand what makes a leisure community thrive and know how to motivate a front of house team, we want to hear from you.
