Overview

The Village Kids Team Coordinator helps create an excellent, welcoming experience for kids, families, and volunteers. This role supports Sunday morning ministry, coordinates midweek activities, and ensures volunteers are well-supported, informed, and appreciated. This position is a 1 year contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and connect with Village Kids volunteers; assist with onboarding and communication.
  • Help plan and run Sunday morning experiences (setup/teardown, classroom support, safety protocols).
  • Manage accurate family and volunteer information in Village Connect.
  • Coordinate volunteer requirements (Plan to Protect, background checks, process queues).
  • Lead follow-up and communication with families and volunteers (emails, attendance, birthdays, newsletters).
  • Prepare and organize supplies, consumables, and Cornerstore items for special Sundays.
  • Assist with Family Ministry Hub events such as Summer Camp (prep, execution, follow-up).
  • Participate in team gatherings, discipleship, appreciation events, and budgeting processes.
  • Model servant leadership by encouraging, equipping, and appreciating volunteers.
  • Contribute to creating a culture where kids and families feel seen, known, and loved.

Qualifications

  • Aligned with the mission and values of Village Church; active Christ-centered faith and commitment to spiritual growth.
  • Strong communication, organization, and administrative skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to problem-solve.
  • Relational, encouraging, and great with volunteers, kids, and families.
  • Understanding of Village Kids DNA is an asset.

$19.50 per hour based on a 24 hours work week.

3 weeks vacation.
