The Langley South Junior Youth Associate provides vision and leadership for the Junior Youth Ministry at our Langley South site. This role focuses on discipling students, equipping volunteer leaders, partnering with parents, and creating engaging, gospel-centered environments where students can grow as followers of Jesus. You will plan and lead weekly programs, preach regularly, develop leaders, and collaborate closely with the Senior Youth Associate and Village Kids team to build a strong, holistic youth ministry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee weekly Junior Youth gatherings, including midweek programs, Sunday mornings, events, camps, and retreats.
- Recruit, train, support, and disciple volunteer youth leaders and teams.
- Preach regularly at Junior Youth gatherings and develop preaching skills within the team.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, leaders, and parents through consistent communication and follow-up.
- Partner with the Senior Youth Associate to create a cohesive youth ministry strategy.
- Coordinate worship, production, and program logistics for Junior Youth events.
- Ensure smooth transitions for Grade 5 students into Jr. Youth and Grade 8 students into Sr. Youth.
- Maintain accurate attendance, metrics, calendars, and online information.
- Network with local schools, churches, and community organizations.
- Foster a healthy, gospel-centered, invitational ministry culture.
