Village Church is seeking an Associate Pastor of Care & Discipleship who will help make a large church feel small - a place where people are known, cared for, and growing as disciples of Jesus. This role provides pastoral leadership, develops our Community Group ministry, and helps ensure every person in our congregation is connected, supported, and growing in faith.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care to individuals and families through visitations, counselling, weddings, funerals, and crisis response.
- Develop and oversee Community Groups - recruiting, training, and supporting leaders to create vibrant environments for connection, growth, and mission.
- Equip and empower volunteers and lay leaders to extend care and discipleship throughout the church.
- Lead and grow the Prayer Ministry and help strengthen the prayer culture across the site.
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and other staff to shape the site’s discipleship pathway, connecting people from first visit to mature faith.
- Build and implement scalable systems for care and follow-up to ensure that no one falls through the cracks.
- Use ministry data (attendance, group health, engagement) to guide decision-making and measure impact.
- Contribute to a healthy, joyful, and gospel-centered team culture.

Qualifications
- Alignment with the mission, focus, and strategy of Village Church.
- Meets the biblical qualifications for church leadership (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1).
- 10+ years of pastoral ministry experience (preferably in a mid- to large-sized church).
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience leading teams and developing leaders.
- Theological depth and the ability to teach and communicate biblical truth clearly.

Salary: $65,000- $75,000 depending on experience and education
