1. The Department
The Club’s Security and Matchday Safety Department ensures the safety and protection of our people and premises. We operate 24/7 across all Club sites, and are expanding to continue delivering excellent service and security.
2. The Role
As part of a team of Security Compliance Officers, you will oversee security protocols at the Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, providing visible onsite security. You will act as a Club ambassador, offering a welcoming, professional first impression to staff and visitors. Your duties include managing contractors, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, reporting breaches, monitoring CCTV and access control, updating logs and documentation, and providing cover at other sites such as Villa Park and Brookvale when required.
3. The Person
You must hold a current SIA Security Guard Licence and have previous experience as a Security Officer. Flexibility to work shifts across days, nights, and weekends is essential. A SIA CCTV Operator licence (or willingness to obtain one) is also required.
You should be capable of responding to onsite incidents, managing conflicts professionally, and maintaining confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, along with a positive attitude and teamwork spirit, are important.
