The Department
The Ticketing Team are responsible for the sale and delivery for all season and matchday tickets across both Premier League, Women Super League (WSL) and U21 fixtures as well as our soccer schools and stadium tours, playing a pivotal part in driving our revenue and attendance. They act as the frontline and shape our fan experience – ensuring that every fan's journey – from buying a ticket to entering Villa Park – is smooth, welcoming, inclusive and memorable.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Ticketing Technical Manager to join the team - you will be responsible for supporting the technical setup, delivery, testing and optimisation of our General Admission (GA) and Hospitality Ticketing products across the Club's Men's and Women's football fixtures and selected events. You will work collaboratively with our internal teams to ensure that all ticketing systems, digital journeys and access control processes are configured, tested and delivered to the highest operational standards. You will also contribute to the Club's revenue and reporting functions by producing accurate, timely and consistent data across all ticketing products. This will include supporting insights into sales performance, availability, access control data and operational trends. In this role, you will be an approachable technical support for the wider team providing advice and guidance on systems, process and operational queries.
The Person
This is an opportunity for someone who is proactive, motivated and eager to learn and grow. You will need to have experience of managing ticketing or an access control environment in an administrative or technical capacity, ideally within sport or high-capacity events. You will need to be a confident IT user with practical experience using Microsoft Office and be comfortable working with data – reviewing and analysing data to identify trends and issues. You will need to have strong attention to detail and be able to work calmly and effectively whilst communicating clearly and effectively. A working knowledge of ticketing systems/platforms is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. You will need to have access to a vehicle and/or the ability to travel between our Club sites; Villa Park, and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and the ability to work flexibly as the Club requires, including working matchdays, evenings and weekends.
