Vilgain is seeking a Video Producer (Reels & Shorts) to support the creation of short-form, social-first video content for the UK market. This role is focused on hands-on video execution, primarily for Instagram Reels and short-form platforms, with an emphasis on educational, real-world storytelling. The role works closely with the Social Media and Marketing teams and is suited to a candidate with strong filming and editing skills, an understanding of platform-native video formats, and experience producing content in everyday, real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Production & Execution
- Film short-form video content in real-world settings (e.g. streets, kitchens, everyday environments)
- Produce social-first video content with a focus on educational storytelling over static formats
- Edit short-form videos optimized for platform performance (primarily Instagram Reels and similar formats)
- Apply light graphic enhancements (text overlays, captions, basic motion elements) to support clarity and engagement
- Ensure all video content meets brand, quality, and accessibility standards
- Demonstrate the ability to shoot high-quality video using both professional cameras and smartphones (e.g. iPhone), depending on content needs
- Understand framing, lighting, and audio capture appropriate for social-first video
- Adapt filming approach based on environment, platform, and creative requirements
- Basic motion design capability
- Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere and/or similar software proficiency
- Work closely with Social Media and Marketing teams to execute approved video concepts
- Adapt video content to platform-specific best practices and formats
- Deliver content within agreed timelines and production schedules
- Support iteration and refinement based on performance insights and feedback
- Appear on camera occasionally when appropriate (not a core requirement of the role)
- Support educational or explanatory moments when needed, without being the primary focus of the content strategy
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 1–4 years of experience in video production, social video, or digital content roles
- Experience filming and editing short-form, social-first video content
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram Reels and short-form video best practices
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing educational or explanatory video content
- Familiarity with food, health, wellness, or lifestyle categories
- Experience working with (light) motion design
- Experience supporting multi-market or international content
