The Sales Support Engineer for Detection and Controls will be a key player in our enhancement of the team where you'll be the technical backbone for our cutting-edge Detection & CCS product portfolio. You will provide technical support for detection & CCS products & systems to Viking EMEA customers and staff whilst increasing Viking EMEA share of that market.

The key objectives of the role are:

  • Deliver comprehensive Level 2 technical support for detection/CCS systems to customers, internal teams, and specifiers.
  • Support local sales teams by providing technical expertise that contributes to achieving annual sales and margin targets.
  • Provide market and product feedback to Product Management to support product improvements and new product development.
  • Promote Viking detection/CCS products through training, seminars, and technical engagement with industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure Viking’s detection/CCS solutions are correctly specified in projects by supporting consultants, insurers, authorities, and end‑users.
  • Contribute to obtaining and maintaining local approvals, certifications, and compliance with relevant standards.

Furthermore, you will have the following duties:

  • Provide advanced technical support to customers, sales teams, and internal staff on detection/CCS systems in the EMEA region (excluding LDE/LPL).
  • Support Operations with technical input for quotations and project-related documentation.
  • Execute Products Demonstration Support in specifying the detection & control product range with consultants, end users and internal LTS colleagues.
  • Prepare and conduct commercial training for external customers and internal colleagues in accordance with the company product training standards and best practices, for all the products in the Detection and Controls portfolio (whether Minimax-Viking made or from 3rd parties).
  • Share knowledge with other technical support colleagues and provide backup support when needed.
  • Support the rollout of beta products and provide feedback/input during new developments.
  • Participate to product claims resolution (e.g. Provide expert guidance to sales teams for dispute resolution & decision making).

Location / Traveling / Reporting line: The role includes up to 20% of travelling. You can be located preferably in the UK, Poland, Spain or Italy and work from one of Viking offices. You will report to the EMEA Gas, Detection & Watermist Team Lead.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Deep technical knowledge of Detection & CCS systems and related technologies.
  • Experience in technical support and product training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
