We are a specialist pharmaceutical company 100% dedicated to developing medicines to treat and prevent HIV. Role Overview
In the role of Medical Affairs Advisor, you will support and shape medical strategy and activities across the United Kingdom. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues in medical affairs, regulatory, commercial and external healthcare partners. We value clear scientific thinking, practical project skills and strong communication. In this role you will:
- Provide medical expertise for local, regional and national projects, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance.
- Review and approve medical content for external and internal use, acting as a medical or AQP signatory where required.
- Deliver scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, payers, and other stakeholders to gather insights.
- Support development and execution of medical plans, including advisory boards, educational activities, and evidence generation.
- Translate clinical evidence into clear medical communications and respond to complex medical information requests.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned delivery of medical objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with medical field teams to develop educational content.
- Work within strategic account teams to deliver relevant and appropriate materials to support appropriate healthcare professional education.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Medical degree (MD), PharmD, or advanced life sciences degree and clinical experience.
- Eligible for GMC registration, GPhC registration, or equivalent where required.
- Experience in medical affairs, clinical practice, or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience reviewing scientific and promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance.
- Strong skills in interpreting clinical literature, real-world evidence and health technology assessment outputs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience as a medical or AQP signatory, or in a final approval role, under UK industry standards.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare environment including HIV care pathways.
- Strong understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice.
- Experience designing or supporting advisory boards and evidence generation plans.
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Training or experience in digital medical engagement or omnichannel medical communications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.

This role is offered as a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote and office-based work in line with our Performance with Choice ways of working.
