We are a specialist pharmaceutical company 100% dedicated to developing medicines to treat and prevent HIV. Born out of a partnership between GSK and Pfizer in 2009, with Shionogi joining in 2012, our ambition is to end the HIV epidemic. As the pioneers in HIV innovation, we constantly look to push the boundaries of science to develop medicines that can change lives and give people more choice. Beyond our medicines, we are proud of our deep connection with the HIV community and work with partners to advance research and development, address HIV-related stigma, increase access to our medicines and provide funding and support to local community organisations to support their efforts in the HIV response.

As a key commercial position on the UK leadership team, you will lead the UK commercial operations team, including marketing, insights and external engagement, that enable our teams to deliver for patients and healthcare systems. You will lead strategic marketing for the UK and work closely with commercial sales, medical, market access and supply partners both in the UK and in above country teams, to optimise performance for the HIV portfolio in the UK. This role is highly visible and high impact, providing strong development opportunities and a chance to help unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead UK marketing function and be accountable for best-in-class marketing strategy and execution.
  • Own commercial process improvement and planning activities, including forecasting, resource allocation and launch readiness support.
  • Lead cross-functional projects that improve customer engagement, channel effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain clear KPIs and dashboards to track performance and drive timely decisions.
  • Coach and develop a small team and work with external partners to deliver agreed commercial priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies while enabling practical commercial delivery.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in marketing, commercial operations, commercial planning, and sales operations experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and working with commercial, sales, medical, market access and supply teams.
  • Strong experience in forecasting, budgeting and performance measurement.
  • Proven people management and stakeholder influencing skills in a matrixed organisation.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model and able to be onsite in the UK office regularly (2/3 days per week).

Preferred Qualification

  • Postgraduate qualification in business, healthcare or related field.
  • Experience supporting national launches and launch readiness activities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, business intelligence tools and digital customer engagement platforms.
  • Experience with customer segmentation, omnichannel deployment or field force optimisation.
  • Prior experience working with external agencies and service providers to deliver commercial programs.
  • Track record of simplifying complex processes and embedding sustainable change.

Location and working model

This role is based in the United Kingdom and follows a hybrid working model. You will be expected to work onsite regularly, typically two to three days per week. Some travel within the UK may be required.
