VIGO Recruitment is working with a market-leading BMS business to appoint an experienced BMS Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact building automation projects across the North West. If you’re passionate about driving innovation in smart buildings and want to oversee some of the region’s most exciting BMS upgrades and installations this one’s for you.
Your Mission
You’ll take the reins on multiple BMS projects (typically £100K–£500K in value), managing everything from resource planning to handover. With a strong pipeline of work and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, you’ll be at the forefront of modern BMS delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead full project lifecycle: from client handover through to final commissioning. Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Monitor risk and implement mitigation strategies where needed.
- Client Engagement: Be the face of the project handling client updates, site meetings, and issue resolution. Maintain strong relationships to drive future business.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders. Provide technical leadership and mentorship where required.
- Compliance & QA: Ensure projects meet CDM, H&S, and internal quality standards. Carry out site visits to assess progress and resolve issues promptly.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in BMS or HVAC project management
- Confident delivering multiple £100K+ projects simultaneously
- Skilled in systems such as Trend, Tridium, or Siemens
- Strong commercial awareness and budget control
- Excellent communicator and team leader
- Full UK driving licence
