We are seeking a professional Duty Manager to join our expanding team within a newly built prestigious development in central London. The successful candidate (SIA DS/SG & SIA CCTV licensed) will be responsible for maintaining the day‑to‑day security requirements, maintaining a corporate image and high standards of professionalism. This is a full‑time role, working 4 on 4 off days and nights shift (07:00-19:00hrs/1900-0700hrs). We offer a competitive rate of pay of £14.87 per hour (£15.75 from 1st May), and you will be entitled to 19.6 days holiday per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- To monitor the CCTV, fire, and security systems, ensuring that all security processes are adhered to.
- Supervise and oversee the shift team and provide full support to the Estate Security Manager.
- Ensure all staff on the shift are fully trained with all site procedures/relevant systems.
- Ensure shift handovers are reviewed and completed to a high standard by all staff.
- Ensure your team are fully aware and conversant with the day's activities.
- To ensure that all incidents are managed and responded to.
- Anticipate clients' needs/problems before they arise and that their expectations are met and exceeded each day.
- Ability to work using your own initiative and manage team members where required.
- Ensuring that the Estate remains safe and secure at all times.
- Ensure building/access pass requests are actioned promptly.
- Ensure that all incidents are reported and responded to correctly.
- Be seen as a visible customer focused professional greeting and engaging with visitors.
- Provide a consistent professional service at all times.
- Communicate visitor/client arrivals to the relevant person promptly.
- Key and asset Management via MyTag. Previous working experience with MyTag, or similar, would be beneficial.
- Maintain a high security awareness at all times.
- Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with management instructions when required.
- Proficient use of relevant communications equipment will require candidate to have good communication skills.
- Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to.
- Ensure all tasks and assignments are carried out to a high standard.
- Must have a full understanding of the cross functions covered by each division – i.e., front of house, loading bay, control room incident management and response.
- Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.
- Issue visitor passes using agreed processes and procedures.
- Ensure thorough incident reports are completed and these are submitted within the agreed timeframe.
- Work alongside other service providers to achieve shared client goals through a 'one-team approach'.
- Strategic planning of the security function.
- Ensure compliance with SLA requirements, minimizing risks to all associates in the client's business.
- Responsible for rota creation, ensuring extra cover requests are booked and full manning levels maintained.
- Must have an awareness of electronic solutions such as CCTV & access control, key holding, post room and general business support.
- Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
- Ensure all staff uniforms are of a high standard with a clean‑cut presentation at all times.
Essential Candidate Specification
- Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self‑motivated team player.
- Smart and confident.
- Previous experience in a Supervisor/Management role.
- Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Immaculate presentation.
- Clear, concise and confident communication skills which are customer service orientated with a very keen eye for detail.
- Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
- Computer literate and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education.
- Provide support to the wider team when required.
- Current SIA SG or DS license.
- CCTV Licence.
- Experience using C*Cure 9000.
- Experience using Victor CCTV systems.
