Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced Reception/Patrol Security Officer with extensive knowledge in customer service and security to deliver our 6‑Star front‑of‑house service. This full‑time role (Monday‑Friday, 07:00‑19:00, 60 hours per week) offers £13.94 per hour and 28 days holiday per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a 6‑star guest experience at all times.
- Ensure all visitors experience the full customer journey.
- Manage lobby hosting and lift escort as per SOPs.
- Handle sensitive customer interactions with professional courtesy.
- Proactively anticipate and address client or customer requirements.
- Issue visitor passes following sign‑in/out policies.
- Communicate visitor arrivals discreetly.
- Provide concierge services and maintain knowledge of local provisions.
- Authorize landlord/contractor access in accordance with risk assessments.
- Handle mail and courier enquiries with discretion.
- Write incident reports and provide administrative support.
- Create a safe environment for all guests and visitors.
- Complete a detailed handover at shift end.
- Maintain high security awareness, monitoring speed lanes and authorising persons through them.
- Assist dog owners and groups with large items through speed lanes.
- Conduct periodic patrols of main entrance walkways to manage vagrants and smokers.
- Provide break relief for the reception team.
- Support the Customer Experience Team with event setup, execution, and dismantlement.
- In the event of a fire alarm, control the main entrance area and assist evacuation.
Person Specification
- Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self‑motivated team player.
- Passion for high‑standard customer service delivery.
- High level of IT/computer skills advantageous.
- Ability to provide a 6‑star guest experience.
- Previous experience in hospitality or a customer‑service role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels.
- High standard of presentation.
- Work independently with confidence and initiative.
- Seek opportunities to enhance client/visitor experience.
- Clear, concise, confident communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Computer literate with good e‑mail etiquette; concierge and Microsoft system experience an advantage.
- 5 years of verifiable work history.
- Experience delivering customer‑focused pop‑ups.
- Current SIA licence.
- Can be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education.
