A fantastic opportunity has arisen within one of our prestigious sites in Central London for a dynamic Loading Bay Officer. You will be self-driven with a proactive mindset to manage an increasingly busy loading bay and Service Road area. You will deliver a high quality of customer service to both our clients and service users. The ideal candidate will possess a skillset that lends itself to managing the logistics, security, and smooth operation of a loading dock. You will be self-motivated, confident in your communications and deal with all levels of stakeholders as second nature, with regular, meaningful interactions with the client. This amazing opportunity operates on a full-time contract working 60 hours per week, Monday - Friday. We offer a competitive salary of £13.94 per hour, with a holiday entitlement of 28 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities- Security & Access Control: Monitor vehicular / pedestrian access, check credentials (ID, manifests), conduct visual checks, operate security systems (CCTV), and report suspicious activity.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage incoming / outgoing deliveries, direct vehicles, coordinate with transport teams, and ensure timely loading / unloading.
- Health & Safety: Enforce loading bay safety protocols, including vehicle movement control, pedestrian segregation, and PPE compliance.
- Goods Handling: Oversee safe movement and storage of goods, operate equipment (pallet trucks, trolleys), and ensure proper stacking.
- Communication: Serve as a central point for information, liaise with internal teams (staff, management) and external contractors, and provide clear instructions.
- Administration: Maintain records, complete documentation, write incident reports, and handle general administrative support.
- Area Management: Keep the loading bay clean, tidy, and organized, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Incident Management and Reporting: Respond to incidents such as vehicle accidents, spills, or fire alarms in the loading area, and initiate emergency procedures as needed. Complete a full detailed handover at the end of each shift.
- Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player.
- Experience covering a range of settings is desirable i.e. loading bay, gatehouse, corporate, commercial, retail, events.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Bank‑man trained.
- Ability to work independently with confidence, using own initiative as required.

- Clear, concise and confident communication skills which are customer service orientated with a very keen eye for detail.
- Confidence and common sense to access and utilise expert resources when making decisions.
- Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times.
- Computer literate with good email etiquette.
- Use of concierge and Microsoft systems is an advantage.
- Have an acute sense of security awareness.
- Valid SIA / CCTV Licence.
- 5 years of continuous work employment history without gaps and verifiable work history.
- Provide support to the wider onsite team when required.
