Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to be part of a growing team? Are you analytical, accurate and a team player? If the answers are yes, then we have an excellent opportunity for you to join a leading signage specialist based in Nottingham. As a part-time Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance requirements, ensuring that the Company’s financials and documentation are accurately maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise customer invoices.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare VAT returns and upload to HMRC, reconciling returns to the balance sheet, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  • Manage payroll.
  • Provide support to the external accountants for year-end filing, audits and financial reviews.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or Junior Accountant, having trained or worked under the supervision of an Accountant.
  • Experience using Sage accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess strong IT skills, ideally with some familiarity with CRM software.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.

Education:

  • Maths and English (Grade 5 /C above)

Experience:

  • Minimum AAT Level 2 qualification.
  • Minimum 2 Years Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 Years bookkeeping.
