Viewtec Signs Ltd is a well-established UK leading supplier of compliant signage. We are seeking a detail-oriented Full-Time Sign Fabricator to join our production department at our factory in Hucknall.
In this role, you will handle our day-to-day signage fabrication needs, manufacturing high-quality permanent road, traffic management, and rail network signs from approved drawings and production schedules. You will work closely with the Team Leader / Production Manager to ensure that output meets all internal efficiency, quality, and legal safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Signage Production: Operate machinery for guillotine cutting, cross cut saw operation, drilling, and CNC router cutting substrates according to approved drawings.
- Assembly: Securely rivet structural channels to various sign substrates.
- Target Management: Work efficiently to hit daily production schedules and delivery windows set by the Team Leader / Production Manager.
- Quality Control: Consistently manufacture products to a high standard, adhering strictly to ISO 9001 quality rules and relevant manufacturing legislation.
- Maintenance & Safety: Keep workstations clean and safe. Perform basic machine checks, ensuring equipment is production-ready, and report any maintenance faults immediately.
- Alignment: Actively embrace and display the company’s core values, vision, and mission statement during daily operations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Location & Commute: Ability to reliably commute to our facility in Hucknall (NG15 6EP).
- Experience: Previous experience using workshop equipment (cross cut saws, guillotine cutters, drills, CNC routers, or riveting machinery) is preferred, but full training can be given to the right candidate with a strong hands-on work ethic.
- Skills: Ability to learn how to interpret and construct signs based on physical production drawings and technical plans.
- Traits: Strong attention to detail, reliability, a commitment to safe workplace health & safety policies, and a collaborative work attitude.
