Role Purpose
The HR Manager EMEA is a senior, hands‑on operation role responsible for end‑to‑end HR delivery across multiple EMEA countries. The role requires a high level of autonomy, sound judgement and confidence operating independently. This position acts as the primary HR owner for operational, employee relations, legal, collaborative payroll operations, commercial HR topics and people‑led initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Governance
- Own and manage day‑to‑day HR operations across EMEA, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and internal policies.
- Draft, review and manage employment contracts, amendments, settlement agreements and HR documentation.
- Act as HR point of contact for legal, compliance, payment and back‑office related matters in collaboration with Finance and external advisors.
- Own the compliance and governance of EMEA HR infrastructure, ensuring all country policies, handbooks, and internal controls are legally sound and up to date.
- Performance Management & L&D
- Support the performance cycle across EMEA, using OKRs as the core framework for goals and outcomes.
- Track goal setting, reviews, outcomes and documentation.
- Support and manage performance improvement plan.
- Payroll Operations
- Maintain regional oversight of EMEA payroll activities, and work in close collaboration with the HR Specialist to maintain the hands‑on capability to execute end‑to‑end payroll processing when required.
- Act as escalation point for payroll issues, discrepancies and vendor coordination.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, governance and compliance across countries.
- Targets & Incentives
- Coordinate and manage quarterly sales targets and annual performance targets for non‑sales team members.
- Support incentive plan administration, calculations, validation and documentation.
- Act as HR counterpart on performance‑related matters.
- Employee Relations
- Lead and manage complex employee relations cases including grievances, disciplinary processes, investigations and terminations.
- Own redundancy processes across EMEA, including consultation, documentation and risk mitigation.
- Manage litigation support, external counsel coordination and case preparation.
- Act as trusted advisor to managers on sensitive people matters.
- Stakeholder Management
- Provide pragmatic, commercially aware HR advice aligned to business needs.
- Build credibility through judgement, discretion and delivery rather than process enforcement.
- Recruitment
- Run end‑to‑end recruitment operations in close collaboration with HR Specialist, including posting roles on LinkedIn, screening resumes, and arranging interviews etc.
- Liaise with external recruiters and agencies, managing briefs, timelines and delivery.
- Ensure governance, timing and cost discipline in hiring decisions.
Required Experience
- Proven experience in a HR manager role within an international / EMEA environment.
- Solid operational knowledge or hands‑on experience in EMEA payroll processing (capable of running payroll independently).
- Strong background in employee relations, redundancies and legal case management.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid understanding of HR operations, contracts and employment law fundamentals.
- Experience working with sales populations, targets, incentive structures and OKR.
Nice to Have
- Experience in technology, AV, B2B or distribution‑led environments.
- Franch/German language is a plus.
- High level of personal ownership and accountability.
