We are a small yet rapidly growing accountancy firm who are looking for our next key team member. We specialise within the food and drink industry and provide our clients with reporting and advice that allows them to control and grow their business. Our offices are based in a shared workspace in Oval.

This full-time role is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their professional skills within a flexible and fluid working environment. Working with a small team you will get a unique insight into the financial and operational world of restaurants and bars. While the role will initially be as advertised, if the successful candidate shows an aptitude in other areas of the business then the company will help cultivate this.

The role reports to the client leads and you will be responsible for producing reports for our clients for final review. Therefore, successful applicants must have great attention to detail and be able to manage and prioritise their workload to complete their duties to a high standard in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation of trade creditor reports.
  • Invoice processing.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Month end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Month end journals.
  • Preparing VAT returns.
  • Preparation of management reports.
  • Creating good internal working relationships to ensure the clients’ needs are met.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

  • A minimum of two years' work experience in a similar role.
  • Working towards a professional qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ICB).
  • Excellent IT skills including Sage 50, Xero, Google Docs, Excel, and all Microsoft Packages.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High level of numerical and analytical skills.

The salary is based on experience and qualifications. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

Employee Benefits:

  • Flexitime and flexible working between the office and home.
  • 28 days annual holiday leave (including the 8 bank holidays). However, you do not necessarily need to take the bank holidays when they fall; you can always work them and use those days as annual leave at another time.
  • 10 study days a year: 5 paid for and 5 unpaid.
  • Study support – a contribution to costs of tuition.
  • Our pension scheme is run by Blue Sky Pension; contributions are in line with government guidelines.
  • Private healthcare provided by WPA.
