About the Role

Reporting to the Head Chef, the role of Chef is responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of meals to meet the residents’ personal and nutritional requirements, whilst achieving best value for money. The main job purpose is to ensure that the kitchen achieves high standards of meal preparation, food hygiene and general Health & Safety at all times. Previous catering and supervisory experience is essential, as is a food hygiene certificate. The successful candidate should hold a City & Guilds Qualification 706 Parts 1 & 2 or SVQ level 2 to obtain the qualified salary. The ability to demonstrate effective communication skills is essential. Regular weekend working is required on a rota basis. If you are successful, you will be required to join the PVG Scheme - Viewpoint will cover the cost of this for you.
