We're looking for freelance key safe and alarm fitters to carry out local installations in their spare time, on a self-employed ad hoc basis. There are no set or minimum hours, and our members are free to accept or reject appointment invitations as they see fit.

Eligibility criteria

  • You will need to have the relevant experience and equipment.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Feel comfortable working alone.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is essential.
  • You will also need to show proof of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate which should provide at least £1 million of cover.

Payment

Payment is offered per appointment and is shown on the invitation which you are free to accept, reject or counteroffer as you see fit. For key safe installations, the safe to be installed will usually be the Standard Masterlock 5401D which we ask fitters to supply and install. For this service we offer a payment of £46.50 (plus VAT if registered) to include supply. For fitting one smoke and one heat alarm we offer a payment of £66 (plus VAT if registered) to include supply.
