Opportunities have arisen to join Vienna Kang Advocates in a developing and training role to support the continued growth and operational excellence of the company. This is an entry-level position. The Trainee Paralegal shall be responsible for assisting with the preparation of legal documents, conducting legal research, reviewing documents, and supporting communication with clients and colleagues. The role also includes attending Court sessions, managing case files, and providing general administrative support.
Requirements:
- The nature of criminal defence requires considerable mental dexterity.
- Regularly involves working unsociable hours: evening and weekends to balance competing demands.
- Must demonstrate a genuine interest in Criminal Law and, in particular, criminal defence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perusal, consideration and analysis of evidence
- Preparation and drafting legal documents
- Conducting legal research
- Accompany clients and Counsel in conference
- Attending Court
- Attending clients in conference within prisons
- Administrative support
Candidate Profile:
- A highly organised, detail-driven, and disciplined approach
- Strong interest in Criminal Law
- Professional, reliable, and capable of working with discretion
- Committed and dedicated to career development
Additional Experience (Advantageous, but not essential):
- Experience within a legal or regulated environment
- Police Station Accreditation
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive client data responsibly
- Knowledge of legal profession processes is a plus
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review
- Strong Communication and Research skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a legal setting is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field preferred
