Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, the Technical Support Engineer is responsible for the internal default contact for any laser related queries for service and the wider business and will also be responsible for upskilling the rest of the tech support team on the laser technology. Ideally, this position will be located in Huntington and it is hybrid.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary internal contact for all laser‑related queries across Service and the wider business.
- Provide accurate, efficient, and high‑quality technical assistance to customers via phone and email (75% with customers – Salesforce and phone).
- Upskill and support the technical support team on laser technology.
- Work closely with the engineering scheduler to allocate service engineers to off‑site jobs.
- Maintain consistent, detailed logs and records of customer enquiries and service activities.
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and customer care skills.
- Ability to deliver exceptional technical support in a clear and professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records and follow service processes.
- Confident communicator able to manage enquiries and provide guidance to both customers and internal teams.
- Willingness and capability to train and support colleagues on laser technology.
