This role is ideally suited for someone with experience in the Broadcast market with knowledge of the equipment eco-systems found in the broadcast production environment.

You will be working with some of the industries most recognised brands, working for a company that was integral to the development of Broadcast Television. The company already has an extensive network of contacts within the major markets but are looking to deepen our customer intimacy in this area.
There is a real opportunity for an enterprising, ambitious and motivated individual to carve out a niche and make the role their own, becoming the go-to person for broadcast in one of VPS largest markets.

Existing relationships are an advantage, but ability to network is more important.

Working directly with end users, system integrators (SI’s) and other routes to market you will be creating demand for VPS products and ensuring that we are best placed to win any tender or projects that get released.

We are looking for someone who is strategic, data driven and comfortable being technical with end customers. Existing knowledge of our products is advantageous but not critical, if you have a willingness to learn and seek out information.

The role is home office based, with 50% of time spent visiting customers in your region. There will be trips to head office (Bury St Edmunds) for product training, occasional meetings and sales meetings.

Being based near major broadcast hubs (e.g. London, Manchester) will be an advantage.

Role Summary

  • To develop the sales of Videndum Production Solutions in the UKNE region with a focus on broadcast, associated segments, system integrators and other routes to market where appropriate.
  • To support Sales Director, EMEA and Americas on projects outside UKNE.
  • To build strong relationships with Broadcast customers and associated routes to market.
  • To find and develop new customers.
  • To demonstrate Videndum Production Solutions products to end customers and SIs.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets.
  • To use CRM tools (Salesforce) to demonstrate your proficiency and that there is sufficient pipeline to achieve target.
  • Develop & execute a plan to improve relationships and Key Customers in the appropriate segments.
  • To create and build your own network within strategically important customers.
  • To become a product/segment expert within broadcast and be able to advise Product and Management on trends, competition and strategic shifts.
  • Support local events and tradeshows e.g IBC, MPTS.
  • Take the lead on tenders; qualifying bids, managing the bid team and being responsible for our win strategy, including pricing requests.

Time allocation:

  • 50% - Customer Relationships (End users and system integrators, relationship building events).
  • 15% - Sales Process (account planning & strategy, sales & quotation activity).
  • 10% - Business Planning (planning activities to meet business objectives).
  • 10% - Product & Sales Training (product & organisation knowledge, skills training, competitive info).
  • 5% - Marketing Events (tradeshow attendance, providing feedback to marketing).
  • 10% - Administration, Reporting and Forecasting (reports, forecasts, compliance).

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:

  • Highly results and performance driven, with a track record of achieving targets and objectives.
  • Excellent time management and organisation.
  • Self-starter and capable of working independently.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to network and build relationships at multiple levels within a customer.
  • Demonstrable B2B sales experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office and CRM (SalesForce).
  • Ability to work directly with end user to influence tender, in collaboration with channel partners and SIs.
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge/Relationships with existing Videndum routes to market.
  • Understanding of existing Videndum Brands and Product lineup.
  • Experience working for a manufacturer/brand.
  • Other European languages.
  • Understanding of the Broadcast, Pro Video Industries.
  • Experience of working in System Integration.

Education and Qualifications:

Essential:

Good GCSE and A Level education in relevant Subjects.

Desirable:

BSc/BA Graduate in a relevant subject.
