Role Summary: This role is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse by safely handling the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods. This position contributes to operational excellence by maintaining high levels of accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety, while supporting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Work Location: Bury St Edmunds

Your day-to-day might include:

  • Receive, inspect, and put away incoming goods accurately and safely.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders in line with company procedures.
  • Use handheld scanners to confirm orders, print delivery documents and track all stock movement to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Regularly operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (Reach, counterbalance and high-level order pickers (HLOP’s), pump trucks, and trolleys).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular stock checks as and when requested and support year-end stock take activities, including counting, reconciling, and reporting stock levels.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean warehouse practices.
  • Communicate with customer services regarding parts shortage, receipt discrepancies or delays, unsafe conditions, or other issues.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Nice to Have:

  • SharePoint knowledge
  • Good knowledge of IFRS
  • Significant experience of industry standard fully integrated ERP systems. IFS experience
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with a Warehouse Management System and basic inventory systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to lift and move heavy items safely and efficiently
  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential, as training is provided)

Education and Qualifications:

  • GCSE English and Maths – Grade C or above.
