Salary- From £45,000. The successful candidate will be required to make visits to the various Marston Holdings sites across the UK. Bid Specialist – Home Worker. Salary- From £45,000. The successful candidate will be required to make visits to the various Marston Holdings sites across the UK. This role will primarily support our Marston Recovery business, which delivers enforcement services for Council Tax, Business Rates, and Parking debts on behalf of local and central government, as well as our Engage Field Services business, which provides field services and High Court Enforcement for the utilities, energy, and legal sectors.
As a Bid Writer, you will play a key role in producing compelling, high-quality submissions that reflect our capabilities and drive business growth. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, from initial planning through to final submission, working closely with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders across the business. You will be skilled in developing persuasive written content in a highly competitive and deadline-driven environment and will also contribute to enhancing our bid library and overall win rate. We are looking for strong time management, organisational skills, and confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels are essential. You will also be a collaborative team player, able to manage multiple priorities while contributing to process improvement across the wider bid function.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, tailored tender and proposal responses in line with agreed deadlines
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Subject Matter Experts across the business
- Lead bid planning and solution meetings (e.g. kick-off calls)
- Attend internal meetings and gather relevant information to support bid responses
- Ensure all bid documentation is accurate, compliant, and of the highest standard
- Take ownership of bid delivery while identifying and escalating any risks or issues
- Maintain and contribute to a central bid content library
- Support continuous improvement of the bid process and submission quality
- Provide support to the wider Bid Team and Head of Enforcement Bids as required
