The Role

As a Head Waiter/Waitress, you are the face of Dallas hospitality - delivering warm, attentive, and personalized service that makes every guest feel truly cared for. Maintaining a confident and welcoming presence - always with a smile - that enhances the atmosphere and puts guests at ease. You are a natural leader who loves seeing those around you excel.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to deliver warm, authentic, & engaging hospitality.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the team is following Dallas service touch points so that guests have a positive dining experience.
  • Train the team to deliver personalized service and embody Vida Plena's warm and inviting guest experience.
  • Train, coach, and mentor the team to deliver a seamless guest experience through attentive service.
  • Familiarize yourself with our menu, ingredients, and what makes us special and ensure that the team is comfortable with product knowledge.
  • Manage and communicate any food allergies or intolerances by informing the kitchen and overseeing dietary preferences.
  • Ensure that the team accurately relays food and drink orders to the kitchen, especially when dealing with specific guest preferences.
  • Support the restaurant manager in driving sales through upselling initiatives and promotion of food and beverage items by suggesting complementary dishes or drinks.
  • Foster a culture of respect, ambition, and teamwork within the restaurant.
  • Work in collaboration with your colleagues to make sure that the operation is as strong as it could possibly be.
  • Identify any service gaps and create strategies & training programs to overcome them.
  • Assist the restaurant manager with administrative duties and tasks such as training, stock control, quality & service audits, ROTA management, and responding to guest feedback.
