Primary School Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work at schools.

Are you an experienced teaching assistant, higher learning teaching assistant, or a learning support assistant?

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  1. Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson
  2. Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment
  3. Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning
  4. Working with students either one to one or in small groups out of the classroom
  5. Committed to supporting both the teacher and the students to succeed

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or at least 1 year of work experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting (recent references required)
  • Confident communication skills and ability to motivate in the classroom (1-2-1 or small group support)
  • A current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS (cost applies)
